I'll be attending the Kentucky Book Fair on Nov. 14, all day from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Frankfort Convention Center.
The workshop is limited to eight people. The group will read personal essays by noted writers. Each of the eight will also have an opportunity to share readings from her/his on-going project.

I am honored to be the featured speaker for the 8th Annual Wilma Grote Symposium for the Advancement of Women. The theme this year is "Moving to the Front."

Sallie Bingham will be reading from her forthcoming biography of Doris Duke, entitled Doris Duke: The Invention of the New Woman, to be published next year by Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
